Hitting the Ground Running in Huambo

After a whirlwind furlough with a newborn, our family arrived back home on May 3. It has been so much fun to introduce Samuel to our team and friends here. He has been doing well, besides a little cold, and the girls are enjoying playing with their toys and jumping back into homeschooling. Sophia is really making strides in learning her alphabet and loves to write her name and others.

After a few days to get our house back in order and spend some time with our team, we’ve jumped back into ministry activities. During our absence, our team was joined by an Angolan minister from Luanda to bolster the work here. This is the perfect timing to refocus our work, pulling out of leadership from the local church in order to focus more on mentoring at the local and national level. Please pray for us as we navigate forming goals for this next phase of our ministry.

We are also expecting 2 interns from Harding this week for a six week internship. Praise God for this opportunity and pray that it will be a blessing to all involved.
