2013 has been an eventful year for our team: we hosted our first set of interns, saw church plants begin and end, rejoiced with 21 people who gave their lives to Christ, and launched the Project Timothy Bible teacher training. 2014 promises to be bring its own changes, joys, and challenges.
First, our family is expecting a new addition in just two short months. We will be on furlough from February through April to welcome our son and reconnect with stateside supporters and family.
Our team is also anticipating welcoming Umoyo Holland to Huambo. We celebrated with Nathan and Umoyo at their wedding on December 7. They are on furlough currently. Please pray for their new marriage, moving logistics, and visas.
Finally, our team is shifting our focus from local church planting to Bible teacher training in churches across the nation. In 2013 we worked with three different churches to encourage biblical teaching. Most recently, we were amazed at how God is working in the congregation in Lubango, where seven members led home Bible studies after training and modeling. In 2014 we expect to offer Bible training through Project Timothy to many more churches.
Please join us in thanking God for His blessings and bathing this new year in prayer!
