As a team, our initial goal had been to move to Portugal in August of 2009 for language learning, and then on to Angola in early 2010.  Those dates have shifted.  Any predictions of the future are obviously tentative, but as of now, we hope to move to Portugal in January 2010, and Angola later that year.

The reasons for the change are several.  Fundraising for our teammates is progressing, but slower than we expected.  Wallstreet might have something to do with that!  The Meyers adoption process, too, has been delayed somewhat, just in the normal course of things.  As for Katie and me, we’re thankful for the much-needed chance to relax our pace a bit.  Though we are all eager to get going, we know we are benefiting from this break.  God is teaching us how to wait.
