Bibles for Angola

Many Angolan believers do not own a Bible.

Bibles are a luxury in a nation where many people live on less than $2 per day. For the few Angolans who do own a Bible, the translation is an antiquated Portuguese that they struggle to understand.

We have an idea that can help solve this problem.


For $10 you can buy a Bible for an Angolan Christian who would otherwise have limited access to God’s Word.

We will send you the name of the person who receives this Bible so that you may pray for him/her. We will also include your name in a card with the Bible so that he/she may pray for you.

We will work with local church leaders to identify individuals who have a real desire for the Word. Recipients will receive a Bible in an easy-to-read Portuguese translation or in Umbundu (the most widely spoken Angolan language). We are also experimenting with audio Bibles (on inexpensive MP3 players) for Angolan Christians who are illiterate.

100% of your donation will be spent on Bibles. You can make contribution in one of two ways:
